How much do I need to spend on ads?
We start at $10/day. Once you know the ads are working and bringing in the right people, we scale according to your budget and your settlement goals. You stay in control of the numbers, always. We recommend allocating 10% of your revenue to lead gen as a general rule.
How much time does this take per week?
About five hours a week across calls, learning, and implementation. We know you probably don't have five hours right now — which is exactly why the first thing we install is the Efficiency Engine, which creates that time for you before we ask you to do anything else.
I already have a team — will this still work?
Yes. We'll assess what you've got, identify what needs to change, and build from there. If you don't have a team yet, we'll set it up correctly from the start so you're not hiring out of desperation later.
I ran ads before and they were terrible. How is this different?
Our ads don't lead with rates or "we compare 40 lenders." They attract a specific person, not a transaction — which makes them appeal to the right clients and repel the wrong ones. They're also backed by a conversion system that compounds in effectiveness over time. Very different from what most brokers have tried before. Matthew went from $264 per lead down to $7.05.
Do I need expensive tech?
No. We use a few low-cost tools that will save you hundreds of hours — any investment in tech is immediately offset by what it saves in time and employment costs. You'll know when you're ready for each tool. We won't push it on you before then.
Can I use my aggregator software for your workflows?
You can install our systems into your existing aggregator software, but we don't recommend it because we like to move fast, and agg software is slow. Our brokers find it cleaner and faster to run our workflow system separately. You won't need to double handle data.
I'm not very tech-savvy. Is that a problem?
If you can post on Facebook and make an image in Canva, you're fine. We provide step-by-step, click-by-click video tutorials for every setup. You can get extra support through coaching calls or the community anytime. You can also get our team to build things for you for an additional fee.
I do commercial or non-residential lending. Does this apply to me?
Most of what we teach translates across the board — you might tweak a few things for your specific niche, and we work through that together in coaching calls. We have brokers inside Scale School who do business funding, commercial, and private lending.
Who is James?
Jess's husband. Former primary school principal who managed teams of 40+. After Jess retired him at 43, he had a few years homeschooling their son — and recently got put back to work as free labour. He handles events, client success, and is an extremely capable and fun human to be in a room with.
